So…What’s the Point?

Another fitness blog.  Another health article.  What’s the point?  Hasn’t everything already been said?  Haven’t we already heard it all?  Well, yes and no.

While it might be true that much has been said, I don’t think we can say that much has improved.  More people today are overweight and unhealthy.  Researchers have gone on record saying that the generation being born is the first generation that is not expected to outlive it’s grandparents.  That is bad.  That should give many a wake up call.  Not only is our health declining, but we’re already expecting our kids to die younger than us.

So if more information isn’t helping, what do we really need?  Great question.

While many people do need more information, it’s not the information that matters, but a way to impliment the information, or rather, a way to live it.  We need to find a way to take what actually works, and make it something we can do daily, preferably automatically.  And better yet, make it enjoyable.

Here’s the thing, will power doesn’t work.  White knuckling doesn’t work.  What matters is simple, highly effective habits, that are easy to impliment, and preferably enjoyable.  The easier it is to impliment, and the more you enjoy either the results, or better yet the process, the more likely you are to stick with it long enough to get the results your looking for.
